Britannia opened its Exclusive Correspondent in the USA, B Americas P&I LLC on 30 March 2020, led by Mike Unger, a leading American maritime lawyer who worked for many years in private practice. On 5 January 2023 Tindall Riley & Co. Ltd. / the Managers of Britannia P&I acquired B Americas P&I LLC, and renamed it TR(B) Americas Inc. Going forward TR(B) Americas, which is based at 1 Rockefeller Plaza in New York, will operate as a full regional hub of the Managers.
Joining Mike Unger, who will continue to head up TR(B) Americas are Charles Johnson, a lawyer and long-time club correspondent, Marcela Pizarro and Bryant Yap, who both worked for many years at one of the major international container lines, and Cameron Holmes, a maritime attorney, who previously worked at another leading P&I Club for several years.
TR(B) Americas provides support to all Britannia Members requiring assistance with claims and other matters in the Americas as well as focussing on the specific needs of Britannia’s North American Members.
