NEW DEVELOPMENTS AFFECTING THE IMSBC CODE – BAUXITE CARGOES

BIMCO have provided some advice on what to expect in the revised International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code (Amendment 05-19), which will come into force on 1 January 2021.

The latest focus is on bauxite cargoes and the new criteria distinguishing a bauxite cargo that may liquefy (Group A) from one that will not (Group C).
