UPDATE FROM THE MPA
Published: 29 April 2022
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) have published an update on the contamination of High Sulphur Fuel Oil (HFSO) recently supplied to ships in Singapore. The MPA contacted the relevant bunker suppliers to take necessary steps to stop supplying the affected fuel and to inform all ships which have stemmed the fuel to exercise caution. It was found that Glencore Singapore had supplied the fuel. A full investigation is being carried out and the MPA is considering what additional fuel quality checks are required.
