PERU TO ADOPT HAMBURG RULES

The Peruvian government has now ratified the United National Convention on the Carriage of Goods by Sea as adopted in Hamburg in 1978 (the Hamburg Rules). This means that the Hamburg Rules will come into effect in Peru a year after the ratification on 1 April 2022. Until then, the Hague Rules will continue to apply.
