IVORY COAST: STOWAWAY SEARCHES COMPULSORY

Local correspondents have sent a recent circular from the Port of Abidjan advising that as from 1 January 2021, all Masters must carry out a search of their ship before they leave the port and must report the results to the Harbour Master. Correspondents further report that this search needs to be carried out by ‘an accredited security company’.
