AZOV SEA – ICE CONDITION REGULATIONS

Correspondents CIS PANDI advise that, in accordance with orders of the harbour masters of Taganrog, Azov and Rostov-on-Don ports, additional ice class and vessels’ age restrictions will come into force from 14 December 2020.
Vessels are currently required to have sufficient provisions, fresh water, bunkers and other necessary supplies for a minimum of 14 days from the time of their arrival to the point of joining the ice convoy.
In accordance with the new requirements, vessels must be of an ice class not less than Russian Maritime Register of Shipping classification “ICE 1” or equivalent. Additionally, vessels of 30 years of age or above must have their Ice Classification verified by an authorised organisation, which includes Russian Maritime Register Of Shipping (RMRS); Russian River Register (RRR); Registro Italiano Navale (RINA); or Bureau Veritas.
