PANAMA MARITIME AUTHORITY – PRE-ARRIVAL CHECKLIST FOR US PORTS
Published: 9 July 2020
The Panama Maritime Authority has issued a Merchant Marine Circular MMC-381, which provides for additional assessment requirements to encourage quality operations and decrease potential PSC detentions of Panama Flagged vessels calling into the USA.
The use of this pre-arrival checklist, which must be completed 96 hours prior to arrival in any US port, is compulsory for all Panamanian vessels and should be signed by the vessel’s Master and/or company’s Designated Persons Ashore (DPA).
