Published: 12 November 2019
Last week the Indonesian authorities allowed a limited number of nickel ore exporters who had complied with export rules to resume nickel ore shipments.
The Indonesian Directorate General of Customs has released list of nine companies which have been granted permit to resume export. The nine companies, according to a local news report are as follows:
- PT Macika Mada Madana
- PT Aneka Tambang Tbk
- PT Rohul Energi Indonesia
- PT Sinar Jaya Sultra Utama
- PT Wana Tiara Persada
- PT Trimegah Bangun Persada
- PT Gane Permai Sentosa
- PT Tekindo Energi
- PT Gebe Sentra Nickel
Meanwhile, permits for two other companies, i.e. PT Tonia Mitra Sejahtera and PT Toshida Indonesia are still being verified and reviewed by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
Until this review is completed, ships due to load nickel ore from these two companies may be subject to delay. Reports from our local correspondents have said that two ships which loaded nickel ore on 24 and 28 October are still waiting for their confirmation of loading and export permits. There is no indication of how long the delay may last and so Members loading or due to load nickel ore in the area are advised to contact local correspondents or agents for further details.
