The Confidential Hazardous Incident Reporting Programme (CHIRP) Maritime reviews and investigates reports of hazardous incidents and near misses by providing an independent and confidential reporting system for the maritime industry. Britannia sponsors the translation of the quarterly CHIRP Maritime Feedback (MFB) into Tagalog, aimed at improving Filipino seafarers’ understanding of CHIRP Maritime and to encourage them to report on issues such as safety breaches, environmental issues, bullying and health concerns. All notifications are handled in total confidence.
Copies are provided to all our Members who employ Filipino seafarers or Superintendents, and additional copies are available on request.
