US COAST GUARD: CONDITIONS IMPOSED ON SHIPS ARRIVING FROM IRAQ WITH EFFECT FROM 26 OCTOBER 2018
Published: 25 October 2018
In a Federal Register notice dated 12 October 2018 the US Coast Guard announced that it will impose conditions on ships arriving from Iraq, with the exception of ships arriving from several exempted port facilities. These conditions of entry have been imposed in order to protect the US from ships arriving from countries that have been found to have deficient port anti-terrorism measures in place.
The full text of the notice can be read here and there is a more detailed list of the countries and specific ports involved on the International Port Security website here.
