ARGENTINA: DRAFT REDUCED AT SAN NICOLAS PORT
Published: 19 July 2018
Local correspondents have warned Members about the low water level of the River Parana. Due to a lack of rain in the area, the draft at San Nicolas Port is lower than usual – averaging around 8.3m (although on 16 July it was noted being as low as 8.16m). It is unlikely that this level will improve over the next few weeks. Members should also be aware that these levels can change with the usual River Parana water level variations.
Members ships with drafts of around 8m or more should check the situation with local agents prior to arrival.
