SOUTH AFRICA: NATIONWIDE STRIKES AND PROTESTS
Published: 7 June 2018
The public Servants Association of South African (PSA) has threatened an indefinite strike and ‘Day of Rage’ protests across South African from 11 June demanding an increase for employee salaries. It seems that this could affect border control and water and sanitation sectors. If the strike does go ahead, there will be delays to operations at all land, sea and air entry posts and possible problems with fresh water supply. Members are advised to contact local port correspondents to check the situation next week.
