USA: ZERO EMISSION GOAL AT LOS ANGELES

The mayors of Los Angeles and Long Beach have recently signed a joint declaration setting zero emission goals for these ports. They mayors approved the 2017 Clean Air Action Plan (CAAP) in order to set “measurable milestones” to move towards zero emissions for cargo handling equipment by 2030 and zero emissions for road trucks serving the ports by 2035. The declaration includes a  commitment for the ports to release a final timeline for implementation of these measures by next month. Once further details are known we will provide Members with an update
