The webinar will be hosted by Captain Shajed Khan, Loss Prevention Manager, Britannia P&I, and will consider the issue of shipboard maintenance, which is often involved in a multitude of claim types, and how it should be suitably managed to prevent incidents occurring. We will discuss preventable failures and lessons learned, how to manage events arising from maintenance failures, and the legal implications of such claims.

Speakers will include:

• Lionel Fernandes, Marine Engineer, TMC Marine, who will discuss loss of power, propulsion and other machinery from a P&I claims perspective.
• Justin Olley, Fleet Manager, Britannia P&I, who will discuss cargo claims and address preventive measures.
• Captain Shajed Khan, Loss Prevention Manager, Britannia P&I, who will address overall maintenance responsibilities and how these impact on claims.
