INTERNATIONAL RADIO MEDICAL CENTRE BASED IN ROME (CIRM)

Published: 4 September 2020

Britannia is proud to support the very valuable services provided by the International Radio Medical Centre based in Rome (CIRM).

Founded in 1935, CIRM provides free round-the-clock medical assistance to seafarers of all nationalities on ships of any flag.  As well as advising on appropriate treatment, their doctors will follow the progress of the patient until recovery or evacuation ashore.

Although many of our shipowner members have been using the service for years, the comfort of having the possibility of remote access to professional medical advice has been brought to the fore during the current pandemic. Britannia has made a donation to CIRM in recognition of this and their many years of serving the shipping community.

The CIRM medical support can be accessed by phoning +39-065-929-0263, or by emailing telesoccorso@cirm.it or telesoccorso@cirmtmas.it.
