BRITANNIA’S BSAFE CAMPAIGN NOMINATED FOR SAFETY4SEA INITIATIVE AWARD

Published: 26 August 2021

In November 2020 we launched our online safety campaign, BSafe, targeted at our Members’ seafarers with the aim of helping to influence behaviours and prevent onboard injuries and losses.

Through a dedicated BSafe area on our website, we share relevant, useful and practical material to support seafarers around three key pillars – onboard safety, seafarer health and onboard security. This includes monthly BSafe case studies based on real accidents or claims. Each case study is supported with specially developed reflective learning aids which can be used by our Members or their crew for training purposes.

We are delighted that our BSafe campaign has been nominated for the SAFETY4SEA Initiative Award.

Part of the SAFETY4SEA Virtual Awards 2021, the Initiative Award is to be awarded to an organisation or association that sparked, realised, or significantly contributed in any initiative fostering safer and sustainable shipping. In addition to Britannia, the other shortlisted nominees are the International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA), Project Connect, V.Group and Workplace Options.
