BRAZIL: DELAYS LOADING SOYBEAN

Published: 12 February 2021

Due to a delay in Brazilian soybean harvesting (due to a drought at the time of planting) more than 95% of the soybean that was due to be loaded at Brazilian ports in January will be postponed to February.  This will lead to significant logistical challenges during February, with severe port congestion and ship delays expected.

Another problem is the current heavy rain which is also causing delays to both the harvesting and subsequent loading of soybean cargo. Members are advised to check for excess moisture and contact local agents for any assistance required.
